The struggle between the hill and the white house is heating up with the recent debacle that is the Jefferson case.
Democratic Representative William Jennings Jefferson of Lousianna's 2nd congressional district has been under investigation by the FBI since March of 2005 for suspected corruption. In August of 2005, following noncompliance from Jefferson regarding video evidence of bribery, the FBI raided the "honorable" representative's home to find $90,000 of illegal bribes stuffed in the freezer. That's right, this mother fucka' is anything but clean. Following even more evidence of corruption, the FBI searched Jefferson's congressional office on May 20th, 2006 - did ya hear that? I think it was the shit hitting the fan and you got some on your face.
So what's the big deal, you ask? Nothing really, except that nearly the entire hill is up in arms about the WARRANTED search, calling it a breech in seperation of powers. "
Reckless Justice: Did the Saturday Night Raid of Congress Trample the Constitution?" Representative James Sensenbrenner titled his committe hearing into the matter in such a nuetral manner, dontcha think?
The legislative fears are easy to understand - they are concerned about searches for documents that Bush might want to see before they are revealed on the floor or in committee. Let's look at this logically - even though the FBI is technically part of the executive branch, BUSH IS NOT IN CONTROL. Partisan rivalry does not come into effect in this issue as JEFFERSON WAS A CORRUPT FUCKER - NO OPINIONS NEEDED. The investigators applied for a warrant to search his office hoping to find even more incriminating documents and maybe some cash and a judge granted it. Wait a minute - is that right? Let me say that again - A SEARCH WARRANT WAS GRANTED BY A JUDGE! That's TWO FUCKING BRANCHES. Judicial and Executive - BREECH OF SEPERATION OF POWERS MY ACHING ASS! Sensenbrenner, head of the committee investigating the investigation (lol) has even admitted that his anti-bush views have been a large part of the hearing and his opinions on the issue. The truth is revealed - IT IS THE HILL, NOT THE WHITE HOUSE, THAT IS BASING THIS ISSUE ON PARTISIANSHIP! JEFFERSON IS A SCUMBAG AND WAS LEGALLY SEARCHED BY NONPARTISAN PERSONS - 'nuff said really - fuck the hill.
Constitution is not synonmous for shield,

PS: I was recently contacted by Ellen Johnson, president of American Atheists. Apparently she read my National Day of Prayer story and is now featuring me in their national magazine! Hopefully I'll have a copy within a month to show you all. And I'd also like to appologize for being a lazy, itchy asshole - I promise that the posts will now be on a weekly basis if not sooner from now on.
