Donations for Katrina are two-thirds gone - doesn't surprise me as non-profit organizations aren't thrifty when their donation pot is a jingling. That's why I don't like to donate to organizations like the Red Cross as they focus on the short term. If I donate $20 or some of time, I want to make sure that my money will ultimately benefit humanity for years to come. For example, I used to spare a couple million CPU cycles to
SETI@home (pre-BOINC). I also like to donate a couple dollars via paypal to organizations or people that a like, such as
Pirate Bay or the
facade group. Anyways, that's my opinion - not much facts to back it up though.
So I'm sitting here in Business Principles and Practices "working" on a project about international business in a specific country. With current political events in mind and having recently watched Speilburg's "Munich" (not that great, worth a rental), I chose Israel. I'm going to be honest - I find myself understanding the Palestinian cause. Don't get your panties in a bunch, i'm not a suicide bomber - I simply feel that you should read about the Israeli-Palestinean conflict before you side with one group. I'll probably research some more before I declare my official opinion.
Shalom,
Ian M. Gibson

Ali-G show - I just started watching it and it is hilarious!
